The register problem
The money comes in cash. The record lives on paper.
A fifty-slot lot takes thirty to forty payments a month, half in cash, across three shifts and two collectors. The register is a ruled notebook. The receipts are a memory. By the 28th, nobody can say with certainty who paid, who didn’t, or where the gap went.

Every entry is signed
Each payment records who entered it, on which shift, and when. The ledger is append-only, so an entry can be corrected but never quietly erased.
GST-compliant receipts

Why we built ParkOS
A parking operator’s money should never live in a notebook.
Walk into most paid lots in India and the system is a ruled notebook and a cash box. It works, until the 28th, when nobody can say for certain who paid, who didn’t, and where the month came up short. The owner carries that uncertainty alone.
We didn’t set out to digitise parking. We set out to give that one owner a record they can stake their livelihood on: fast enough for a collector mid-shift, honest about what saved and what synced, and precise enough that a number is never in doubt.
